How to Refresh Your Wool Clogs for Fall

The good news is that you don’t need an elaborate cleaning routine. A felt care brush can help bring the wool back to life.

For small stains, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild wool detergent if needed. Allow your clogs to air dry naturally, and avoid soaking them or exposing them to dryers or other heat sources. Most importantly, Stegmann wool clogs should never go into the washing machine.
Don’t Forget About the Cork
Taking care of the cork is just as important as caring for the wool. Our Cork Sealer helps protect natural cork and extend the life of your clogs. All Stegmann shoes and clogs come pre-treated with a cork sealer for immediate weather resistance, but we recommend applying it again once or twice a year to maintain and reinforce weather protection.
It's easy to use! Shake the bottle, then use the built-in brush to apply a thin layer directly to the exposed cork. The sealer will initially appear white. Wipe any excess product from the wool upper with a damp cloth, then let the cork dry for about 20 minutes or until the sealer turns clear. New cork may require two coats for complete coverage.
It’s a simple step that can help keep one of the hardest-working parts of your favorite shoes protected.
