Frequently asked questions

Does Dr. Tea actually wear Stegmann herself?

Yes. Dr. Tea discovered Stegmann independently and wore the shoes for years before partnering with the brand. She purchased several styles on her own and wore them around her home and to her podiatry practice. Stegmann and Dr. Tea got connected when she began sharing about her love for the brand on her own social media.

Can I use my orthotics with Stegmann?

Many styles feature removable footbeds, making them compatible with custom orthotics. Nearly every leather shoe or clog style has a removable insole.

The classic wool clogs are the only Stegmann styles that do not have a removable insole, but many customers have had success buying a full size up to add their own orthotics. Many orthotic wearers also gave feedback that the wool clog sole was adequately supportive and they did not need their orthotics with those styles.

Her favorites include the Eco Clog for home, the Victoria Loafer for work, and the Lieben Chelsea Boot for everyday wear.

Are Stegmann shoes good for plantar fasciitis?

Customer feedback and reviews indicate that many styles of Stegmann shoes and clogs have provided relief from plantar fasciitis pain. Individual needs vary, so consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
