Women's Eco Wool Clog (Medium) Size Guide

Women's Eco Wool Clog (Medium) Size Guide

Women's Eco Wool Clog (Medium) - Heritage Fit

Size & Fit

  • Overall Fit: True to size, slightly short-feeling
  • Heel: Secure raised cup
  • Toe: Spacious, rounded
  • Width: Medium

Fit Guidance

Most returns for this style are from customers who find the fit too snug or short.

Most customers find their regular size works best, but this clog may feel snug initially and will relax more with wear due to the wool construction.

  • Choose your regular US size
  • If you prefer extra room or plan to wear thicker socks, consider the larger size
  • If between sizes, choose the larger size
  • Designed for medium-width feet with a generous toe box

Additional Notes

  • Wool will compress and relax with wear, resulting in a looser fit over time
  • Initial snugness is expected
  • This style will loosen more than Original 108 wool clogs
  • If the fit feels short or too tight, sizing up can provide a more comfortable fit, especially if wearing socks regularly

  • The Tirolean Stonesheep (Tiroler Steinschaf) is one of the oldest existing sheep species on earth. These sheep have been bred on remote mountain farms for centuries in Tirol for their meat, milk, and wool. Their wool was in high demand especially in the 20th century to produce loden cloth. Today, the Tirolean Stonesheep is a rare species. The estimated Austrian population is around 4,000 sheep, and 14,000 worldwide.

The wool of the Shetland Sheep is very high quality with a high level of elasticity. Once a year, in the springtime, the sheep shed their wool. At that time the wool can be easily loosened and detached without shearing, but rather by picking it.

  • The Juraschaf is native to Switzerland and spends most of its life in the Alps. The breed is popular in Switzerland and its wool is in high demand for its high quality, dark color and fine fiber structure. It is well known for its ability to thrive in tough alpine conditions. Due to its consistent fleece color, Juraschaf wool is rarely dyed or colored. Raw wool ranges from dark brown to completely black. When blended for our clogs, it produces a rich, deep espresso brown. Juraschaf wool is soft and fine, with all the wonderful natural insulating properties of alpine sheep wool.
This clog is part of our Species Preservation Initiative and helps support this rare breed.

  • Alpaca is a well-known wool producer and is raised all around the world. The wool we use is from the Peruvian Alpaca, which is native to the Andes in South America. Their wool is highly prized for being softer and silkier than cashmere, yet very durable and warm. Our wool is called "baby alpaca" and is sourced from a Fair Trade Certified & Cruelty Free Collective. "Baby Alpaca" does not refer to the age of the alpaca, but rather the grade of the wool - Baby being the finest and softest.

Coburg Fox Sheep

The Coburg Fox sheep is a robust breed native to Germany. The speciality of this wool is its reddish-brown colour. When lambs are born, their color can be from goldish yellow to reddish brown, which can appear golden. Over the years it brightens up but it always keeps its reddish-brown or golden shimmer. There are currently only a few thousand Coburg sheep in existence. The wool is a medium gauge that is both soft and hardy, making it ideal for felting.

Love these clogs

I am so happy that I purchased the Eco Wool Clogs. The quality is great and the look and feel are really nice. I wear a women’s 8 in most shoes so I ordered these in an 8 but they were too big. I decided that I needed a size 7. The exchange process was quick and simple and the 7 was perfect.

Love!

I’ve been wanting wool clogs to wear as indoor house shoes for a long time now. So happy I finally did it. When I was researching I was debating between Stegmann and Haflinger brands. Ultimately I decided on the Stegmann for a couple reasons. First, I fell in love with the beautiful cream color of these eco wool clogs. Second, the Haflinger comparative to these clogs has a big tag sewn on the footbed and I knew that would bother me if I wore them sock less, which I do a fair bit.

These eco wool clogs are not only beautiful but also extremely supportive, true to size and the wool is cozy and warm on my feet without being too hot. I typically wear a 7.5 sometimes 8. I bought my usual size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I can wear them with thin to medium thickness socks or barefoot and they fit just right. I would say that if you intend to wear them with thicker socks then go up a half size to accommodate the extra bulk.

Alpaca all the way!

This was the perfect color for me. I originally wanted the coburger color but decided they’d probably get dirty too quickly and they didn’t have my size available when I was ordering , the grey looked too grey and the Shetland too brown. Alpaca is a perfect neutral mix. I initial thought they might be too big but worn with socks they’re great, not a tight fit but like a cozy slipper fit. They’re super warm and every time I wear them they’re shaping to my feet making them even more comfortable if that’s possible. :)

Great casual clog

These clogs are very cute and comfortable; perfect for slipping on around the house or running errands. The non-slip sole provides great traction, though it is noticeably squeaky at first. Compared to my Stegmann Liesl flats, these run a bit shorter in length. I wear a size 9 in the Liesl (to wear them comfortably barefoot without my toes rubbing); however, a size 9 in this style was too short. I ultimately exchanged them for a size 10 to wear with socks, and they fit perfectly. To wear without socks, I would need a 9.5 as they are a tad too long and wide.

Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. The only thing I’m still curious about is long-term durability, as the wool upper is softer and less stiff than I expected. Since I’m new to the Stegmann brand, time will tell! But so far, they’ve been a great and comfortable addition to my everyday footwear.

Love these clogs!

These are so comfy from the moment you slip them on. I have a narrow foot and they aren’t too wide. They also come up the front of my foot which I like because I am not working to keep them on.

Great slipper!! Holds my foot nicely. It was a little tight at first but molded easily after a day or two . They are warm but not hot. There's ample space in the tox box. They look cute, too!!

I feel slightly like Goldilocks in the three bears house. The search for a good house shoe was time consuming. What I insisted on was an arch, not too warm and certainly not too heavy. They are after all a shoe worn indoors. I am a cookie baker and therefore I am on my feet and need the proper support. Research concluded that this was the one for me. Shipping was timely and instruction were helpful. They were just a tad snug at first but have since relaxed just enough. I don’t normally wear socks with them but I can. Depending on my activity they can get quite warm but perhaps we can blame that on my ovens. To sum it up they are not too heavy, not too hot, don’t look frumpy and are just right. I

This is my first pair of Stegmann’s and by far the best clog, slipper/shoe I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable and so warm. I love them so much I have thought about trying their other shoes. They are also very cute.

Staff Review - 5 Year Check In...Still Going Strong and Bringing the Comfort

I've owned these Alpaca clogs for 5 years now and have been wearing them almost daily, so they've seen a lot of miles. I live in Portland, Oregon and these have been through it all - they're my pre and apres ski shoes, my errands in the rain shoes; they've been on the beach, worn around the house and pretty much every neighborhood establishment at one time or another. I also love traveling with them because nothing beats this comfort after a long day of walking in other shoes.

You can see they've held up amazingly well and most of the tread is still there. The only potential issue I see is the wool getting thinner around my toes at the end of the toe box - which is entirely my fault for clawing them with my toe nails as I almost always wear these barefoot. Pro Tip - Trim your toe nails regularly and your clogs will last longer!

I could not be happier with how well these have held up - with absolutely ZERO maintenance. I haven't even brushed or cleaned these, which I should, but I'm lazy. They still smell like wool, not feet, and they've molded to my foot shape beautifully. I'm looking forward to many more comfortable years with them.

Love

I am obsessed, I have been looking for something like this for a couple of years now. I had the Stegman eco wool clog in my cart but had a real hard time pulling the trigger due to the price. This year after reading many reviews for both these shoes and others I decided to go for it. I am thrilled with my purchase and will possibly buy a second pair in the near future. The shoes are cozy but don’t make my feet sweat like my Birkenstocks do. The wool footbed may be why. They are comfy with or without socks. And super cute and sturdy. I have already gotten multiple compliments on them.
The only thing I would like to mention is the hard heel support. It would be very important to size right. Because the way the heel comes up in the back they need to be sized right.

Comfy and Sustainable

I love my Eco Clogs! They're comfortable and warm. The wool takes some getting used to, so I wear then with a medium cushion sock, but I run cold anyway, so that's comfortable for me. I sized up a half size so I could wear with a sock. I contacted Stegmann two or three times with various product questions and they responded quickly and in a friendly manner. Would highly recommend this company and this clog.
