Stegmann!! I didn't know it was possible to have such a cute shoe that makes my feet this happy. I have pretty high-volume, sort of wide (but not technically Wide) feet that require good arch support. I bought these for a trip to Paris. The wool insole that comes with the shoe is a bit thicker at the arch, and that is the only arch support that comes with the shoe. There's none built into the actual shoe. I added a low arch insole to go under the wool one, which made these shoes nearly perfect. I say "almost" only because the back of one shoe dug into my heel, so I had to wear blister plasters back there the whole trip to avoid pain and bleeding. They are finally broken in enough that I don't need a barrier anymore, but it would have been nice to have a padded heel, like other reviewers have said.

After a week in Paris walking 10-13 miles each day in these shoes, I can say that they are amazing. They still look brand new after lots of wear and walking, so I think they will hold up very well. I can't speak highly enough of this shoe--my feet are extremely picky, and these stayed comfy for both walking and standing around.

I am so pleased with these shoes. They are exactly what I had in mind, even though I was not sure that really existed. I wanted shoes with good arch support and a wide toe box that were durable and well-made. At the same time, I wanted shoes with aesthetic appeal that were versatile enough to wear for many occasions. These fit the bill on all counts. They are comfortable enough to wear every day, and cute enough that I want to wear them with everything. I also really appreciate having a buckle and strap vs. Velcro closure for Mary Janes. This was my first Stegmann purchase, but I'm sure it will not be my last.

I love these shoes so much! I ended up purchasing black after loving the burgundy. I like a wide box but have a narrow heel, so straps are a must for me. The Marielle shoes are perfect. Not only are they incredibly comfortable, and they stay on my feet, but having the wool liners is fantastic. I work in a building that has an unpredictable HVAC system. The wool liners keep my feet comfortable regardless of when it may be 60 degrees in my classroom (even in summer in southern California when we dress for heat) and 80 degrees in my office on the same day. I have to be prepared for both. These shoes work beautifully. I wish all shoe companies used wool liners!

I also get compliments on them all the time. They are such good looking shoes! I've had students tell me they love my shoes, as well as other teachers. Recently, when conducting a job interview, the applicant (who had met me once before apparently) walked in and said, "Oh, the lady with the great shoes! You're going to need to tell me where you got them." She had remembered liking them from months before in a meeting we both attended.

So, I'm not the only one that finds them to be super cute and they work well with dress pants and more casual clothing.

I really wish they had a navy color as well. I would buy the Marielle in every color.

The Marielle seems to be a very good quality shoe. I didn’t keep it because I decided to try the Eva Mary Jane instead. I like that the Eva has a merino wool liner.

I have super narrow feet (AAA), so these Mary Janes fit and are comfortable, but there is still a gap between the leather and the top of my foot at the front of the shoe. That has been an ongoing issue for me all of my life and I was hoping this time would be different. I'm still keeping and enjoying the shoes.

These are cute and comfortable. My feet are wide but I’m able to wear these without sizing up.

Received my order quickly. It was my first time ordering from this company and they were helpful. Although, I didn't return my shoes, they do have a return policy that seems easy to do. I like the extra for my toe box. Next time, I may order a half size up, so I can wear them with thick socks if I need to. But without socks, it's a perfect fit. Very happy and have received a lot of compliments for my shoes.

Very cute style. This shoe is comfortable. Wouldn't have expected anything less by Stegman. The only thing I would have preferred, is the padded heel collar.

So cute and would work with a lot of different outfits. I wish they would have fit me, but I seem to be in between sizes. 8 is too long and 7 1/2 is too short. I plan to wear them while traveling, so I need a perfect fit. I even tried putting hiking insoles in the bigger pair to take up space, but in my opinion the shoe really works better with the wool insoles provided.

Not only are they cut but they have this elastic around the opening that makes them really comfortable to get on and off. They fill light as air when you wear them and thank goodness they have arch support unlike other mary janes I own. They will be super cute to wear with no socks thanks to the wool insole. I'm also pumped to style these with with thin or sheer ruffled socks or black tights!
