I am wearing my 4th pair of these sandals. I take them out of the box and step into them and they are perfectly comfortable for a day of walking. The leather straps are soft and easily adjustable, the cork sole has just the right amount of heel-to-toe drop and the arch support is not too high for my foot. Stegmann, please don't ever change anything about these sandals!

The shoe really nice on my foot. It ran slightly small and I returned it. I did not exchange for the next size up because I felt that it would most likely be too big.

Comfortable right out of the box. I’ll be back for more! I really want a pair of Louisa sandals next.

This is my first pair of Stegmann sandals. They are so comfortable. I have some heel pain and I can teach in these all day with no pain. Great customer service too!

I've worn wool clogs for years and felt something out of the ordinary would be nice. These sandals were offered in wide, but unfortunately not wide enough for me. Oh well, but no hope at 84 my feet will get narrower.

If you had these sandals in a dozen colors, I’d buy one in every color! It has always been a challenge to find a good pair of for my wide feet. I ordered these thinking “Well, I’ll try them, and will probably send them
back”. Boy, was I wrong! They are the most comfortable sandal I’ve ever found, and have been my go-to for this summer. I can walk all day, the support is fantastic and I love the fact that they are leather with a cork foot bed!! Ok Stegmann, blue would be a great new color!!!

I bought these in Ecru. Beautiful neutral that goes with everything. I bought them in n my usual size. They fit perfectly. I cut my heel pretty badly and have to have an open heeled shoe. These are perfect. I’ve worn them everyday for about a week. Great right out of the box!

I have 3 pairs of Stegman clogs.
1 black wool, 1 navy wool and now a sandal. They are ergonomically perfect for me. I gave a wool pair to my friend who was recovering from an injury last year. They really helped her in the recovery process. Recently purchased the sandal, most summer shoes have no support. Worth the $$ to walk properly with no issues at the end of the day. A great value as these shoes last indefinitely.

I had high hopes for this sandal, but as others have said, the sizing was off. I’m a pretty consistent size 38/7-1/2, but these were too short. The leather also felt a bit stiff, especially the back strap, which was also bulky.

The shoe is beautiful, very well constructed. I’ve never bought a shoe like this so I knew my feet would take sometime to get used to it but my feet have continued to hurt. Specifically the arch of my right foot. It doesn’t hurt when I’m wearing the shoes, but does when I’m not wearing them. I don’t really get it.

I'm a die hard Birks fan. I've worn them for years, they cradle me feet like nothing else. Six months ago, the toe ridge in my birks (all my birks) started to turn my big toe numb and painful (probably and angry nerve). "Breaking the birks in" want going to fix it, since my birks were all already broken in and in good shape.

I tried the Stegmanns since they are birk-like, cork footbed, well reviewed for tricky feet, and when I squinted at the pics on the website it looked like maybe they didn't have a toe ridge underfoot.

They do have a little toe ridge, but the footbed is also more padded than the birks, which seems to offset the "ridginess" or the ridge. Support and no numb toe! I wasn't sure about them at first because I was afraid they'd make my bunion unhappy but after a few days of wearing, they conformed to my foot pretty well... And after a few weeks, I feel pretty optimistic.

I might come back to get a second pair in a month or so -- I just really want to wear these first to see if the toe numbness returns after the footbed cushion gets crushed down. I can feel the ridge in the cork under the (slightly) cushion...but the cushion seems to offset it.

One nice thing: heel strap means there's no strain on my toes in walking (keeps my bunion happy!). Perhaps not *quite* as supportive in the mid foot as my birks (my birks cradled me deliciouly in the mid foot, with that nice deep cork... perhaps with more break in time, these will too?)...but, given my needs (not have numb toes!) it might be time for me to switch over to Stegmanns.

Fwiw, I'm a 9.5US (EU 40) with *only slightly* wider than average (medium) width feet, *slightly* narrower heel, and long (!) toes (very long second toe). I bought size 10. They fit very well to start, and after a few days they fit fairly perfectly. Not my birks, but....I can't do birks anymore. I'm really excited to have found these, and am optimistic they will replace my birks going forward. (Just need to see how this first pair evolves with wear.)

I had been looking for an alternative to Birkenstocks because they kept breaking on me. I walk MANY miles in sandals. I love these so far! They are more comfortable and fit my feet better than the previous brand I was buying. I usually wear an 8.5, and I bought a size 9 as advised. They are super cute and versatile!

I really wanted to love this shoe. I can tell it is well made. I wore it around my house for a hour. I need more cushion for the soles of my feet. Will be returning. Do you think any of your shoes would work better?

The sandals are gorgeous & high quality, but sadly way too narrow. They were listed as 2X wide, but also saw them later listed as medium. I have sensitive feet with neuropathy, and sadly you carry few wide shoes except the wool clogs, which I own. Many European shoes are rather narrow.

Sandals fit as described. Beautiful craftsmanship. Very comfortable to wear!

I have been looking for comfortable sandals for the summer...i have a swollen ankle and there are many shoes I cannot wear...especially those with high sides or ankle straps. Ths has none of those things...I put them on and wore them around the house immediately and I have worn them out to the store...they are comfortable, and they don't rub against my ankle... I believe I may buy another color...
