  • Size & Fit Details

The Maria fits like a traditional women's dress shoe and does not have the same fit profile as our clogs. The Maria is built similarly to the Liesl skimmer on a narrower footbed than our wool clogs. Order your normal dress shoe size. Runs true to size and is medium width with a generous toe box. We recommend sizing up if between sizes as some customers find this style runs small.

    Close, but not quite there

I love this color - the caramel/tan is the perfect neutral that goes with many things - and since the leather matches the cork, it looks a little more formal (I hope!). The wool lining is scratchy on bare feet, and there's almost no arch support. I pulled out the wool insole and inserted some SuperFeet for better support. I find them hard to walk in; I kind of have to scuff my feet along and the top of one foot had a red mark by the end of the day. I wear these to work, even if they look a bit like slippers, because I'm desperate for work-appropriate shoes that accommodate my poor feet. I have hallux rigidus - and this shoe's leather was just the right amount of softness to not irritate the bone spur while still not showing the bump through the leather. Nice! Now if only they were more walkable, they would be perfect.

as SOON as I stepped in them I instantly knew they were here to stay! enough arch & support, but not too much. soft but supportive. I love them & I just might need more!

The left shoe was made looser than the right shoe and kept sliding off my foot. I could not return them because I wore them outside when I first tried them
