Stegmann Clog Sizing & Fit Guide

Traditional Stegmann clogs are made of wool felt, and are built on a European last, which tends to create a more generous fit. Due to their nature and construction, Stegmann clogs will fit a bit looser than a normal sneaker. They are made to accommodate socks and will fit snugly with a thicker sock. They will also loosen slightly with long term wear as the felt compresses.

Many Stegmann owners like to wear their clogs barefoot, and choose to size down a half size. Wearing Stegmanns barefoot is perfectly hygienic. Wool felt breathes, wicks moisture and doesn't typically retain foot odor. However, if you are concerned about foot odor, we recommend wearing socks, as these aren't a typical shoe that can be thrown in the washing machine. See our care guide for cleaning instructions.

Men's Clog Fit

Men's clogs fit true to size in length and slightly wide in width, due to being constructed on a European last. We recommend ordering your normal shoe size, or sizing down a half size if you have a narrow foot or prefer a snug fit. This shoe will comfortably accommodate foot widths, B & C.  A thick sock is recommended for narrow feet, while a thinner sock or barefoot would suit a wider foot.

Women's Clog Fit

Women's clogs fit true to size in length and slightly wide in width, due to being constructed on a European last. We recommend ordering your normal shoe size if you plan to wear a thick sock. We recommend sizing down 1/2 to one whole size if you have a narrow foot or don't plan to wear socks. This shoe will comfortably accommodate foot widths, B & C.

Polyflex vs Cork

The only difference between the polyflex and cork footbeds is the material used. The shape, as well as level of comfort and support are consistent. A polyflex footbed will need less maintenance over time and is less susceptible to environmental damage.

Stegmann Clogs provide unparalleled comfort and quality

Stegmann wool felt clogs are extremely popular with people in need of arch support, as the combination of cork or polyflex and wool provides firm cushioning. Unlike many other clog brands, Stegmann is built to hug your foot, reducing the need to "toe grip" your clogs.
When you buy Stegmann you can be confident that you're getting a thoughtfully made shoe that will provide you years of comfort and support.
